About Me
I am Vatsalya, an illustrator based in the UK, working seamlessly between traditional and digital media in a contemporary way. I focus on making editorial and publishing images, utilising my strengths in concept development to create compelling narratives and visuals. My work is deeply rooted in exploring social issues and identity, drawing from my lived experiences as a queer artist and a person of colour.
Through my art, I aim to illustrate stories and perspectives that resonate with individuals who share similar backgrounds. By focusing on themes of inclusivity, representation, and intersectionality, I strive to create pieces that foster connection and inspire dialogue.
Through illustration, I feel empowered to address issues personal to me and to explore new ideas that communicate what matters most. My work aims to spark dialogue and foster meaningful connections through thoughtful and impactful visuals.
